What types of Fumoto valves are available?

Choosing a Fumoto valve can sometimes be intimidating when you use the Find Your Model tool and see multiple options. Here's a quick breakdown of the valve styles and their best applications.

Standard Valves

Our standard valves are ideal for users who do not need a hose connection, want our most compact design, or have a drain port located on the very bottom of the oil pan. The standard valve is our most straightforward solution for completing an oil change efficiently.

Short Nipple: S-Series

The S-Type valve is our short-nipple variant. This valve allows for a secure hose connection while maintaining a compact, space-saving profile. Hoses can be attached using either our SH-10 straight socket or SL-10 elbow socket. Hose Kit for 3/8" nipple valves

Full Nipple: N-Series

The N-Type valve is often better suited for trucks and SUVs with plenty of ground clearance and is perfect for direct hose application. If you have lower ground clearance, you are better off choosing a Standard, S-Type, or SX-Series valve.

Elbow Joint: L-Series

L-Type valves are specifically designed for heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and industrial engines. The removable, L-shaped joint nipple allows for easier oil changes in hard-to-reach or awkward locations. Additionally, the adjustable brass collar allows for 360-degree positioning of the nipple.

Full Rotation: SX Series

Our SX-Series valves offer 360-degree rotation, allowing you to choose the exact orientation for draining before fully tightening the valve in place. The SX-Series consists of two parts: a through-bolt and a valve body. Simply adjust, tighten, and drain. Hose connections are supported via our SH-10 straight socket or SL-10 elbow socket.  Hose Kit for 3/8" nipple valves

The versatility of the SX-Series valve allows for installation without an adapter on many vehicles that previously required one.
