Is it safe to use a Fumoto valve when driving under extreme conditions such as off-roading or heavy snow?

The lever-locking mechanism prevents accidental valve openings caused by engine vibration, which is a fundamental feature of our design and manufacturing. 

For added security, we now include lever clips with every F-Type valve to protect against the rare event of road debris striking the lever at high speeds or under extreme conditions. 

FOR USERS OPERATING VEHICLES IN EXTREME CONDITIONS (e.g., logging, off-roading, or farming), we recommend installing either a lever clip or a metal lever lock (available for T-, FG-, and F-Type valves). Please note that pliers are required to install the metal locks. 

A lever clip or lock firmly secures the lever in the closed position at all times, preventing accidental openings in even the toughest environments. 

Please note that the metal lever clips are incompatible with the F316L and SX type valves.
