I Passed the Databricks Data Analyst Associate Exam - Here’s What Helped Me

Ideas

After passing the Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate exam, I realised that understanding the topics was only half the preparation. My biggest challenge was finding updated practice material and getting enough hands-on experience, particularly with SQL queries, data analysis, and dashboards. I started by following the official exam objectives and practising with Databricks Free Edition. I also worked through different practice questions on Pass4Future alongside my regular study sessions. This helped me keep my preparation varied rather than depending entirely on notes or watching tutorials. One mistake I would advise candidates to avoid is memorising answers without understanding the concepts behind them. Whenever I got something wrong, I revisited the topic and tried a similar task myself. I also recommend checking the latest exam objectives before choosing study resources, as older materials may not cover everything you need.

If you are preparing for this certification, don't underestimate hands-on SQL practice. It made a real difference to my understanding.

What are you finding most difficult so far: SQL queries, data analysis, or finding reliable and updated practice material?
